This past season, the Southland Conference Tournament champion received an automatic bid to the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship. The Southland Conference, located in Frisco, Texas, is currently comprised of Houston Baptist (Houston, Texas), New Orleans (New Orleans, La.), Nicholls (Thibodaux, La.), Southeastern Louisiana (Hammond, La.) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Corpus Christi, Texas) in beach volleyball.
